A solution has been found to combat global warming, which continues to wreak havoc: ban sports and limit movement to what is strictly necessary.
The solution was so obvious: the less we move our bodies, the less heat and CO2 we produce. So the government decided to promote laziness and inaction, much to the chagrin of athletes who dream of resuming their activities.
To prevent them from giving in to the urge to exercise, the government must use every trick in the book: surveillance of the population by guardians of immobility, movement desensitization courses, anonymous competitor support groups, and more.
But many questions are buzzing in the air: Who are the hamster wheel champions? What happens to those who break the anti-sport laws? Is the government’s goal really ecology?
