The Collectif Io Youth Company
After a first nomination in 2022 for the musical Utopia-758, in 2023 the Collectif Io Youth Company received the Music Education Award from the CEMF in the category of Best Show by Young Performers for the musical tale “Les Gâteaux du Prince Tan”.
Since its creation in 2011, the Collectif Io youth theatre company has established itself as a benchmark in cross-disciplinary arts education.
More than a hundred teenagers have participated in the company’s programmes, 10% of whom have gone on to become professional artists. The youth troupe’s repertoire continues to grow and is now expanding into other areas of the Grand-Est region.
The musicals played by the Company are designed to be adaptable, with the aim of tailoring them to the specific needs of each arts education partner, incorporating groups of singers, dancers and musicians. The reach of the Collectif Io youth Company therefore makes it possible to offer tailor-made, open-ended projects that highlight complementary teaching methods, while creating artistic exchanges between teenagers from different cities.

Today, the Collectif Io Youth Company welcomes around twenty teenagers.
It has been based at the Maison Commune du Chemin Vert in Reims since 2015.

Workshops
Throughout the year, Collectif Io offers artistic workshops for children, teenagers and students who want to discover musical theatre or improve their skills with professional artists.
The All on Stage ! and Broadway jazz workshops can take place over one or more consecutive days, depending on the edition and the organisers’ preferences.

Creation of a mini musical show based on a repertoire of French and Anglo-Saxon musicals (Mamma Mia, Grease, Starmania, etc.)
