Strolling through tales

Presentation

Doux-Percy and Lily-de-la-Vallée are two children alone in their bedroom at story time, the moment when tales are told to help them fall asleep.

Night falls, and no one is there to read them new stories that open new marvelous worlds. When an unexpected adventure appears in the form of two tiny old gentlemen, Albert and Arthur, the children don’t hesitate.

Opening their window wide and letting these magicians in marks the beginning of an incredible journey into words and tales for Doux-Percy and Lily-de-la-Vallée. Whether this journey is real or dreamed matters little; it is simply a matter of letting the imagination transform the traditional stories of Andersen or Grimm and while doing so, meeting a chimney sweep in love and a shepherdess in a thousand pieces, a disagreeable princess and an impertinent fairy, or even a swan prince, a swallow, and a wild goose, among others…

As Peter Pan and Mary Poppins did before them, Albert and Arthur, accompanied by strange and mischievous objects, sweep us along with them in a whimsical and joyful whirlwind; As if, from an open book, birds, fairies, and chimney sweeps sprang forth; as if notes and arpeggios escaped from a sheet of music; as if, finally, reading a tale or listening to a melody could banish silence and solitude with a comforting presence.
